How to Get Involved

How to Get Involved in the Minnesota Community Health Worker Project:

CHW Policy Council
If you are interested in the Community Health Worker Project there are many different ways in which you can be involved. A CHW Policy Council meets monthly. The purpose of the policy council is to advance the role of CHWs in the public and private health and human services sectors and develop recommended policies and strategies to incorporate CHWs into the care delivery systems.

CHW Advisory Committee
An Advisory Committee also meets to design, write and oversee the development of the CHW curriculum. This committee will also oversee the recruitment of students and community development of the project.

Our committees are made up of CHWs, students, employers, community based organizations, health plans, foundations, public and private agencies and educational institutions.
